Partners With Museums for All

The Northeast Louisiana Children’s Museum partners with “Museums for All” national program to promote access for everyone

The Northeast Louisiana Children’s Museum has been a safe and educational destination for children and families for more than 25 years. It has continuously expanded its exhibits, family events and programs to reach children from all walks of life in more than 18 parishes.

As part of that growth and outreach, The Children’s Museum has affiliated with Museums for All, a national access program that encourages individuals of all backgrounds to attend and build lifelong museum habits. “This is a significant addition for our region as it will help children and their families from all backgrounds and income levels enjoy educational playtime together while helping with admission costs if needed,” said Children’s Museum Director Melissa Saye.

Saye added that the cost of museum admission may be a barrier for some lower-income families. The Children’s Museum will provide reduced admission of $3.00 for up to 4 visitors presenting their EBT cards. Call 318-361-9611 for more information about the program.

The Children’s Museum is expanding its services following its relocation to a new facility in Forsythe Park. Development Director Dawn Landry said “Our children are most important to this community and through local support, we have the opportunity to provide a quality educational experience in a new space that will impact visitors for years to come. We are currently working on the design of the new modern and spacious museum. This facility is going to be such a source of pride for our community.” Opportunities to donate to the museum can be found HERE.
