Time to Fly
Plans are being made to relocate! The new, relocated Children’s Museum will be an engaging place for the children and families in our community to explore, discover, and learn. ⇩

About Our New Location
Permanent galleries and exhibits along with hands-on interactive programs will entice and engage children, making it a unique place that brings together families and communities for meaningful interaction.
The exhibit galleries will embrace the diverse culture of our region, as well as expand programming and outreach opportunities, providing a rich learning experience that sparks a sense of wonder. The Children’s Museum will always be a place for play and possibilities-a happy place where children can learn about science, technology, art, music, history, and nature through hands-on, interactive exhibits that nurture curiosity, build knowledge and fuel imagination.
We will continue to be a place where all are welcome and where our commitment of providing a safe environment for children and families of all abilities and backgrounds will remain our mission: a place where children can experience the diversity of our region and provide vital resources for schools in northeast Louisiana.

Director’s Thoughts
The vision for a new, interactive, and educational home for the Children’s Museum of Northeast Louisiana has continued to take shape through thoughtful planning and strong community support. That shared commitment remains at the heart of this project as it moves into its next phase.
After careful consideration, the decision has been made to relocate the future home of the Children’s Museum to an existing building at the corner of Forsythe Avenue and Broadmoor Boulevard. This change represents a meaningful opportunity to strengthen the museum’s future. By reducing build out costs, more investment can now be directed toward what matters most, creating dynamic, hands-on exhibits and learning experiences that children and families will engage with every day.
Just as importantly, this new direction allows the museum to deepen its connection to Northeast Louisiana. Future exhibits and experiences will be designed to reflect the industries, landscapes, culture, and innovation that define this region. Children will not only learn through play but will also see their own community reflected in meaningful and inspiring ways.
The result is a museum experience that is more intentional, more locally grounded, and more impactful for the next generation of learners. This is a significant step forward in creating a space where curiosity can thrive, learning feels alive, and the story of Northeast Louisiana is part of every experience.
